Did anyone get the invite to attend the Anthropic event in person?
Hi everyone!
Event is tomorrow (Oct 11) in Bengaluru!
Quick question: The event details mention that "The top 50 submissions will receive an invite to attend the event in person."
Has anyone received their invite yet? Just want to make sure I didn't miss any emails.
Thanks,
Sreenath

No, The organizers are lazy. Announced the results very late and now there's no update about the event invites

Yes, I tried sending mail to them. But no replies till now.
Hope they will sent it as they had mentioned it in hackathon details and not tell that the event is full.

Hey are the invites rolled out?

Hi Vikrant,
Can you please update us. We have been waiting for an update and we need to plan based on that.

Hi everyone — thanks for your patience! All invites to attend the event in person were rolled out this afternoon at 2 PM. If you haven’t received an invite, unfortunately you won’t be on the in-person guest list this time.
However, we will be publishing the session videos online soon, and you’ll be able to watch them there. Thanks again for all your enthusiasm and for being part of this!

As per the hackathon description, Top 50 submissions will receive invites. Total projects in the project gallery are 42 and we still did not receive invite. This is absolutely unprofessional!

Yes, :(
It's not about the video. That will be of no use.
All of us participated in the hackathon and it was mentioned that the 50 project submissions will get the invite.
We were waiting for that opportunity -to directly meet people and the networking opportunity.

Hi Ranjith and Sreenath, I completely understand your frustration. However, to clarify, we received far more submissions than the ones currently visible in the public project gallery. Our invites were extended to the top 50 projects based on the published evaluation criteria.
We’d have genuinely loved to host more teams in person, but we’re limited by the capacity of our venue. That said, we truly appreciate the time, effort, and creativity everyone put into their submissions. We’ll be publishing the session videos online soon after the event so everyone can watch and be part of the experience.

Then why aren't those top 50 projects in the project gallery?

Hi Vikrant,
Thanks for replying to us.
If possible, it would be great if you could get some invites for us.
We were genuinely hoping to for it because only 42 were seen in the published project list. So, obviously, all of us believed that we are part of the top 50 criteria. That led to this confusion for all participants. Else, all the submissions should have been shown in the project gallery.
Thanks,

Thanks for clarifying, Vikrant. I think the main issue here is transparency. When only 42 winners are visible in the gallery and you promised top 50 would get invites, it naturally created confusion and false hope for many of us. For future events, it would be helpful to either: (1) publish all submissions to the gallery, or (2) clearly communicate early on that not all submissions will be visible. We invested significant time and effort, and clearer communication would have helped us plan accordingly.

List of winners appears to have been removed now.
All that's visible is this text - "The hackathon managers haven't published this gallery yet, but hang tight!"
It's weird.

It’s back now. For a moment I thought it too was taken away from us :’(

Hi @ranjit @nishant,
Looks like they sent the invite.
Were you able to register via the luma link which they sent.
For me, it shows registrations are closed - Now, invite is present, but not able to see the details as registration is not allowed

Hi Sreenath, I think invite should be sufficient for attending.

@Sreenath I received the invite at night 2:30 AM! I did not plan for it so I'm not attending. Should have sent it after the event :)
